Once the news of upgradation gets officially announced Yogeshwar will be a silver medalists with wrestler Sushil Kumar and shooter Vijay Kumar for India in the London Games.Currently Yogeshwar is been silent to comment upon the incident.

Kudukhov aged 27 passed away in a car accident on December 29, 2013 on a federal highway in southern Russia between Krasnodar Krai and Vladikavkaz. However this month the International Olympic Committee (IOC) re-tested the four-time world champion’s sample, which was collected during the London Games. The re-test belongs to that of a standard practice. The tests are stored for upto 10 years which enables the advcance testing and helps to eradicate the dope cheats.Yogeshwar’s silver medal will only be confirmed when the UWW ratifies it in writing to the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI)

Yogeshwar had lost the pre-quaterfinal to Kudukhov in London. The Russian reached the Finals.Meanwhile,Yogeshwar received another opportunity for a podium finish in the repechage round. He defeated Franklin Gomez of Puerto Rico, Masoud Esmaeilpour of Iran and Ri Jong-myong of North Korea to claim bronze.

The UWW sources had to say that so far only five wrestlers have tested positive in the retests. From the collection of samples only eight years was the deadline for the retests but IOC extended it by two years in the year 2015.

In modern wrestling , Kudukhov is being considered as one of the greatest icons. He was a four-time world champion across two weight divisions and had won gold in all the World Championship happened from 2007 to 2011 in which he was a participant.
