Sources reported that Murray shared a private jet with co-competitor Rafael Nadal to Cincinnati and immediately started his practice and stretches as he started preparations for his opening match at the ATP Masters 1000 event.

Murray is reported to have the highest rating currently trending in the fan base according to a recent study. With his current form, which is quite impressive, given his stint at the Olympics, he might bag another win at the Cincinnati Open 2016. A win here would ensure a happy and confident Murray at the US Open, which is queued up next in the already packed year for the tennis star.

Before catching the private jet with Rafael Nadal, Murray generously spoke to the press where he spoke of the pride that he feels representing the country at the Olympics, over that winning a gold seems to be the cherry on the cake for Andy, who has created history in his upbeat form and performance at the Rio Olympics 2016.

“I’m really happy to have won tonight, but it’s not really for me to say that. I can’t really answer just now. Tonight’s one of the hardest matches I’ve had to play for a big title. The US Open final, I played Novak, when I won my first slam was very hard, but tonight I found it really difficult. Emotionally it was tough, physically it was hard. There were so many ups and downs in the match”, said Murray.

Immediately after the Cincinnati Open 2016 ends, Murray will fly back to the UK, to meet his family and hopes to catch on some lost family time, before heading to the US Open in less than a fortnight’s time.
