No Wildcard Entry for Mary Kom for Rio Olympics 2016-The Chairman of AIBA and the ad-hoc committee has announced that Kishen Narsi, on Thursday confirmed that the World champion boxer M.C. Mary Kom has been denied from wild card entry into the Rio Olympics. She was dreaming to participate at the RIO Olympics but the International Olympics Committee denied the entry.

At the last times ditch attempt to fetch Mary Kom a Rio Olympics berth, the Indian Olympic Association and the ad-hoc committee is administering the boxing champion in the country had sent a special request for a wildcard entry for the celebrated boxer, who could not make the cut via qualifiers.

The boxer Mary Kom had failed to book an Olympic ticket after losing the second round of the World Championships last month. Narsi had also told to the AIBA that seeking is officially called a Tripartite Commission Invitation Place.

She had been sadly informed that she won’t be getting a wildcard for the Olympics. It is heartbreaking moment but it is something which she had a no control over it. She had to accept this decision. But now she is not yet quitting the sport (Boxing) right now. She will be continuing to compete till she is feeling fit and she also think she is totally fit said Mary Kom to the news reporters.

However, the successes of the Indian boxers in the previous Olympics games tournaments, the chances of working against Mary Kom. The wildcard is granted to the only athletes from countries, who have had made minimal participation in the previous games, sports editions of the Olympics. India had over eight boxers participating in the London 2012 Olympics.
