Vijender Singh vs Kerry Hope in Delhi on July 16- Indian Boxing sensation Vijender Singh is all set to take on former European Champion Australia’s Kerry Hope in the WBO Asia Title Bout which is scheduled on 16th July at Dehli’s Thyagaraj Stadium. The 30 year old Indian Boxing champion will be playing his seventh professional bout which remained unbeaten since last pro year winning all of his six contests via Knockout stage. The big event of WBO was initially scheduled for June 11 but got delayed by a month due to logistical reasons.
Hope carries with him an experience of 30 bouts of which he has successfully acquired 23, two of them are knockouts.
Prior to the battle against Vijender hopes commented “He is a superstar in India, but to me he is just a boxer. He has been pro for a year, but I have been pro for 12 years and I have lot of experience. The crowd will be behind him but I prefer to be underdog which will have pressure on him where he has to train harder. I have been world no.3 in the past and have heard about his achievements but all that is in amateur and I am experienced in the pro circuit”.
Vijender replied with mild reactions stating that “Time will decide what happens on 16th July and just wait and watch” .It will be an interesting fight between the two masters of the bout and Indian fans are excited and expecting Vijender to beat the opponent Kerry which will definitely be a tough contest.
