With very little time left for the second Test, starting on Saturday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has deciding against flying in any replacements. Anamul Haque, who was the reserve batsman for the tour is expected to play in the second Test.
Kayes wasn't on the field on the last day of the first Test at Arnos Vale, St. Vincent, and had consulted two doctors over there after suffering from skin rash. He travelled with the team to St.Lucia but hasn't been part of Bangladesh's practise sessions.
Kayes struggled in the first Test, making scores of just 9 and 25. The second Test starts on Saturday, September 13th at Beausejour Stadium, Gros Islet, St.Lucia.
