Paul Pogba suspended from EPL 2016-17 opener vs Bournemouth- Paul Pogba, the famous footballer, who plays for the Manchester United and the France national team, has been suspended for Manchester United opener. This has brought disappointment among the fans of Manchester United who were excited to see Paul Pogba play on Sunday. He was supposed to make his second debut against Bournemouth.
Pogba’s fans knew how special he is, but when he won Young Player Award at 2014 FIFA World Cup, the talented midfielder got even more fame and increased his fan-following. He has won the hearts of his fans many a times. But unfortunately, disappointing situation both for Paul Pogba and his fans, the world-record signing player has been suspended for Sunday’s game. In his entire career, he has been shown only one red card in the year 2013. Paul Pogba picked up two yellow cards in last season’s Coppa Italia in his final games for Juventus, which brought him one-match ban. He also received a caution in the Coppa Italia final. Pogba’s name appeared on a list of players who were suspended for this weekend.
“I knew the situation with the yellow cards but I didn’t know if an accumulation would bring a suspension, or that one in Italian football would be one for the corresponding competition in England which would be an FA Cup match. I found two days ago.” said Paul Pogba in an interview. The Football Association rule says that if a player gets banned in another country, that ban or suspension will be carried over. This rule is applicable even if the player leaves a particular league and joins the Premier League.
Pogba’s debut is now supposed to be on next Friday against Southampton at Old Trafford. But he has to miss the United’s Premier League curtain-raiser, which is definitely a bad news for his fans. His fans will have to wait till next Friday to watch him play.
