Nico Rosberg dominates European Grand Prix; Teammate Hamilton misses out podium- The European Grand Prix is Formula One event which was established during the mid of 1980s and it was held regularly from 1999 until year 2012. But the race was removed from the calendar in the year 2013. Now in 2016, the race has been returned; it is being run on street Circuit at, Azerbaijan in Baku. In this inaugural tournament Nico Rosberg dominated Grand Prix of Europe, while his Mercedes team mates Lewis Hamilton struggled at the fifth spot.

Nico Rosberg wins European Grandprix

On Sunday, 19th of June, 2016, in the European Grand Prix, the Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg increased his lead in this driver’s championship when he returns to the winning streak with smoothly comfortable light to flag win. Rosberg started on pole position, led all the way and also he set the fastest lap on his way to a 5th win in total eight races this season. The 30 year old German, Rosberg, who had seen dropped to nine points after delivering three poor races, but after that he impressively made come back into the race and crowned the title of Formula one race in Baku, and came home comfortably victory. And along with this win he stretches his lead over Mercedes team-mate Hamilton to 24 points.

Hamilton struggles to make it to top 3

Rosberg’s team mate and defending champion Hamilton who came home with frustrated loss and languishes in fifth place and also dropped further round because of some technical problems which he suffered on the tricky new street circuit in Baku at the Azerbaijan’s Formula one race. The world champion had stressful and a fraught afternoon, as getting no help fixing an identical problem which occurred during the race. The title rival didn’t found any right solution for his engine conundrum which made it too much difficult for him to qualify for further rounds and hence he finished with unhappy conclusion and he not even make it to top three of this inaugural competition.

Rosberg extends his lead on championship table

Formula One’s pit-to-driver radio restrictions played a decisive role in European Grand Prix, on Sunday as Nico Rosberg who got assistance in solving an engine setting glitch and sailed away to an easy win, while his team mate finished a distant fifth. Nico Rosberg’s win at the Baku street circuit pushed his lead over Hamilton in the championship of Driver from 9 points to 24. So, with this wonderful victory he has been leading the championship table. While, the Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel finished as second, 16.6 seconds adrift of Rosberg, and Force India’s Sergio Perez passed Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen on the penultimate lap to take third spot.
