West Indies magician spinner Sunil Narine and big guy Kieron Pollard are back in West Indies squad for first four matches of tri series against South Africa and Australia. Both have not played for the national team for many months. On Thursday (May 19) West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) announced the squad.

Kieron Pollard, the allrounder who is currently playing franachise cricket for Mumbai Indians has not played for national team since October 2014. While Sunil Narine, busy with Kolkata Knight Riders last played ODI for West Indies in November 2015.

Sunil Narine who was banned from bowling in international cricket by ICC due to illegal bowling action during Sri Lanka tour was cleared just few days before IPL season began. He was also named in WI squad for World T20s but withdrew his name as he felt he needed to work on his bowling ation.

Kieron Pollard who missed international cricket due to knee injury which he suffered during Ram Slam in November is back in national side. On other hand the architects of WT20 2016 Darren Sammy, Dwayne Bravo, Chris Gayle and Andre Russell are not included in 15 man squad. However, Marlon Samuels and Carlos Brathwaite have found a place in the West Indies squad.

The team squad also includes couple of uncapped players like off spinner Ashley Nurse and fast bowler Shannon Gabriel. Nurse who was a part of WT20 squad has played four T20s for national side. While Shannon Gabriel who made his debut in 2012 has played 2 T20s and 16 test matches.

Tri Series in west indies will kick off from 3rd June with home side facing Proteas. Later they will face Australia on 5th June. First set of matches scheduled from 3-7 June will be played at Guyana while second leg will be played at Basseterre, St Kitts. The final set of matches which also includes final will be played at Barbados.
