For legendary Sri Lankan opener and chief selector Sanath Jayasuriya commented about the entry of this new man that the domestic performance of him had been consistent and also added that he would prove his credentials by aggressing hard against the contenders. The 29 year old capable bowler has played plenty of national tournaments and has curbed huge reputation for his unique style of bowling.
Sri Lanka has another option of Shaminda Eranga who too would have replaced the Chameera, but his bowling action has been spotted illegal and has been objected most of the times. He has to wait for his debut until he revamps the allegations on him by correcting his bowling style. Bandara’s action of seaming seems more enrapturing than this man’s style of bowling.
Along with Chaminda, Kusal Parera too will cover the absence of Dhammika Prasad who is out of the team due to an unexpected caused wound. Both the injuries in teams have offered golden opportunity to the new comers which they have to utilize in right sense and reflect the same which their country mates have expected to strive in the third battle against English cricketers.
