Pakistan registers a huge win vs Ireland in 1st ODI: The first One-Day International (ODI) between Ireland and Pakistan at Dublin was an audience favourite for Pakistan’s supporters. Pakistan’s left-handed batsman Sharjeel ended up scoring a magnificent 86-ball 152, while Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Nawaz both scored half- centuries. Pakistan ended with an amazing score of 337 for 6 in 47 overs.
Sharjeel completed his 150 in 85 balls and that makes him third fastest batsman to score a 150 in an ODI afterAB de Villiers’ 64-ball 150 vs West Indies in 2015 and Shane Watson’s 83-ball 150 vs Bangladesh in 2011.
His 150is the highest score by any batsman in an ODI against any team who got bowled out for less than 100. Also, he now holds the record for the 14th joint highest individual score by any batsman whose score ended up more than opposing team’s innings total.
The series will be followed by an England vs Pakistan ODI series which will start from August 24 with the first match at Rose Bowl Cricket Ground. The remaining matches will take place on August 27, August 30, September 1 and September 4.
