New Zealand opt to bat first in 2nd Test against ZimbabweThe New Zealand Tour of Zimbabwe which consist of 2 Test matches. The First Test match was won by New Zealand by 117 runs. As there are only 2 test matches the match will be conducted in one stadium only that is Queens Sports Club.


As the 1st Test Won by New Zealand the major contributors were Ross Taylor who scored 173 runs in 299 balls, BJ Watling who scored 107 runs in 172 balls and tom Latham who scored 105 runs in 209 balls. Which helped the team majorly to take over Zimbabwe. As per the scoring pattern of the pitch the second innings score goes higher then the first innings.  The Highest scored ever made is 713 runs in 165 overs and lowest 104 runs in 49 overs.

The 2nd Test match was scheduled to start from 06 August the toss of the match was won by New Zealand so, as per the records batting first may be a wrong decision but it vary time to time.
