New Zealand name Squad for ZIM & RSA Tour; Sodhi, Rawal included- New Zealand cricket team is about to tour Zimbabwe and South Africa this year and the squad of fifteen players has been declared. Auckland, North Island of NZ, batsman Jeet Rawal has been opportune to play through this team for the test cricket matches against above mentioned nation’s teams.

This squad is scheduled to leave on July 11 for an eight-day training camp in Johannesburg and then will proceed to Harare where the first Test begins on July 29.

Leg spinner Ish Sodhi too has been given a chance to play for the team. Sodhi has replaced all rounder Cory Anderson. Jeet, 27 year old left hand batsman and an active fielder, with an average of 55.71 in last year’s tenure will appear as a middle order player in batting line up of New Zealand team.

Senior players have expressed positive replies over the selection of these capable players in the replacement of former ones. Coach Mike Hesson told that Jeet had been impressive in the Plunket Shield for a number of years then and further lengthened his utterance by saying that in the last 12 months they had seen his maturity and decision making continue to improve.
