Marlon Samuels wins WICB Cricketer of the Year award- On Tuesday July 20th the West Indies Player Marlon Samuels the one of the best player of the West Indies has been awarded as the cricketer of the Year award and the One Day International cricketer of the year at the West Indies Cricket Board annual awards function which was held at Antigua.
Marlon Samuels Who made his debut in the test series with Australia in 2000. While He played many international matches and made his first debut in One Day Internationals against Sri Lanka. He was also the team mate when West Indies won the 2012 ICC World Cup. Samuels last year made 85 Runs in the World T20 against England and help the team to win the match over England. While no doubt the Samuels time went bad in terms of Test against England in the previous April While he did well in the Tri series against Australia and South Africa although the Series was won by Australia.
While many other players were also awarded with different awards like Chris Gayle who was awarded with the T20 Player of the year While the Test Cricketer awards went with Darren Bravo and also named as Carribean T20 player of the Year award.While Women player who smached India in World T20 Stafanie Taylor Was awarded as The Women T20 Player of the Year Award and also the ODI Player of the year.While Under 19 players also had awards like Shimon Hetmey as the Under 19 player and Jomel Warrican as the Emerging Player of the Year award.
