Jos Buttler faces a spell on the sidelines after fracturing his thumb in Lancashire’s NatWest T20 Blast match against Worcestershire on Friday.
X – ray analysis has confirmed the damage which will possibly keep him away from the international cricket for some time. Doctors have assured that the trauma doesn’t require any operation which would have sidelined the batsman for lengthier period. Care takers haven’t guaranteed the specific time of his recovery.
24th August is the scheduled date of commencement of England vs Pakistan test series which will be conducted in English country. Few days are remaining for the beginning of this foreign tour of Pakistan and this sudden injury to the significant player in team of England has made the fans nervous.
No confirmation about whether Buttler can play this competition or not hasn’t yet declared by the doctors, but it can take a long time span for the healing of his wound. Jos’s injury also raises the question of who would be the next in line for the gloves in Test cricket should Bairstow suffer an injury over the next few weeks.
