‘It feels gratified to take wickets on difficult track’ says Amit Mishra- Indian leg spinner Amit Mishra says that taking wickets on the tough field was quite gratifying for him. In the first test cricket match being played between India and West Indies, former Sunrisers Hyderabad bowler grabbed four wickets for 67 runs and played pivotal role in dilapidating the opponent’s batting line up.
In his interaction with BCCI TV, he claimed that he was happy to perform well on the defying pitch which seemed quite conforming for the spinner. He told that all the collusive approaches he indulged with while dealing with the foes worked for him and result came out through his brilliance in the spinning.
Mishra said, “I tried my best to curb maximum wickets by varying my bowling speed and this strategy to confuse the batsman really helped me in destroying the middle order. I am really happy that I was able to pick up the wickets on a challenging cricket pitch. I will maintain my consistency of grabbing wickets in the further instigation.”
He thanked newly appointed Indian cricket team’s coach Anil Kumble for his helpful guidance. He learned a lot from the veteran former Indian spinner and would like to implement every teaching impregnated within him by the former RCB coach as well as skipper.
