His team lost all matches and received white wash from hosts. In all cricket battles, mates led by him were average in their performances which made them succumb ahead the peer pressure of the opponents.
This was one of the biggest loss for Sri Lanka in any foreign tour ever. Public criticism is trying to entail the right hand all rounder to leave his captaincy of Sri Lankan cricket team. But his confirmation about not quitting his leadership for this reason have silenced the criticizers.
