Eranga discharged from Dublin hospital after heart tests- Shaminda Eranga has been discharged from Dublin hospital and doctors cleared that there’s no problem with the heart of this Sri Lankan player. While playing the second ODI against England, his heartbeats suddenly increased which hurt him and obligated him to shift to the hospital.
Teammates and coach of Sri Lanka confided about his fitness and told media that soon the man with immense cricketing skills will be seen performing as a fit cricketer on the ground. Skipper Anjelo Mathews expressed his good opinion on his return to the team for next international battles.
Mathews said, “Eranga will have to go back, work with the fast-bowling coaches, and come back strong. We are very confident he will come through both – his condition as well as his action – so we are very supportive of him and the whole team is behind him.”
Sudden spiking of Eranga’s heartbeats shocked the entire nation and fans of this huge man fell into depression after getting this news. Though his heartbeat had been recorded as high as 220 beats per minute, he had been in a stable condition since the initial incident, and has now been given the all-clear to fly home.
The Sri Lanka side has already travelled to Nottingham for the first ODI against England, but Eranga is unlikely to join them. His recovery symbolized positive indications to his comeback in the team as well as the game.
