BCCI to have Special General Meeting on August 5 – The Board Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) which is being in restrictions for the next six months due to the order of Supreme Court that Lodha Panel will take involvement in the working of BCCI and to improve its working while the audit will also be done through CAG. A Special General Meeting (SGM) is to be held on August 5 with its affiliate members where BCCI president Anurag Thakur and also Ajay Shirke will also be present in the meeting. The meeting is for the discussion on the Lodha Panel meeting which is schedule for August 9 in New Delhi.
The meeting with Lodha panel is the discuss about the 2 members bench while the board lawyers will be present during the SGM meeting. As PTI member mentioned yesterday (July 26) that they had received a e-mail from BCCI that they are conducting a meeting on 5th August in Mumbai in reference to the order of Supreme Court.
As the Board is fully shaken by the major changes in the structure as guided by the court with a six month deadline to implement all the changes stated by the court which is to be discussed by the state members with the president. The BCCI official also mentioned that before the meeting with the Lodha panel there viewpoint should also be viewed by the seniors. The meeting will target all the aspects of the new implementations and clearing all the members doubts so that proper actions can be taken.
