Clint McKay is another very good tall Australian fast bowler from Australia who has played all three formats for his country. He made his Test debut against West Indies, ODI debut against India and the T20I debut against Sri Lanka.

Lack of penetration in the longest format saw him being left out of the side but he was almost a regular member of the side in the ODI format. His 50-over debut against India is one of the most closely fought matches in the history of cricket. Australia chose to bat on a good batting surface at Hyderabad. Their batsmen thrashed the Indian bowlers to all corners and posted a mammoth 350/4 in 50 overs. In reply, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag got India off to a flier before they were reduced to 162/4. Tendulkar and Raina then put on a sensational 137-run to keep the match alive. The former was already going great guns after crossing his 150. When the master-blaster was on 175, McKay induced a false-stroke from the right-handed batsman and had him caught at short fine leg. That proved to be turning point of the game as India went on to lose by 3 runs. McKay ended with figures of 10-0-59-3 and impressed everyone on his debut.

He has picked close to 100 wickets in the 50-over format and continues to be an integral part of the Australian side. He is also a handy bowler who can bat a bit. Though he has not managed to score 100s, he has scored about four 50s in first-class and has also made decent contributions in the other formats.

McKay plays for Victoria in the Australian domestic circuit and is one of their strike bowlers. He represents the Melbourne Stars since the inception of the Big Bash League in 2011. He has also tasted a bit of IPL playing for the Mumbai Indians before being signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2013. However, in the auctions for the 2014 edition, McKay went unsold.
